Welcome to StudioDeck. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StudioDeck platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service") provided by StudioDeck (referred to as "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

StudioDeck is a booking, payment, and customer management platform designed for nail studios. Nail studios ("Studios") use StudioDeck to manage appointments, accept payments through Square, and communicate with their customers ("Clients").

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts to create a Studio account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@studiodeck.shop if you suspect unauthorized use.

Clients may create accounts to book appointments and view their booking history. Clients agree to provide accurate information when booking.

3. Subscription and Fees (For Studios)

StudioDeck offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Current pricing is displayed on the sign-up and Settings pages. Payment is processed through Square via a payment link generated at checkout.

In addition to the subscription fee, StudioDeck charges a 2% platform fee on each payment a Studio collects from a Client through the StudioDeck platform. This 2% is deducted from the Studio's payment via Square's application fee feature.

3.1 Subscription Trials

New Studios receive a free trial period (currently 30 days). At the end of the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. If a subscription lapses, Studio access to the platform may be paused until a new payment is made.

3.2 Refunds on Subscription Fees

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you cancel your subscription, you retain access until the end of the paid period. Contact support@studiodeck.shop if you believe you were charged in error.

4. Payments and Deposits (For Clients)

Clients pay Studios directly through Square. StudioDeck does not hold Client funds.

If a Studio requires a booking deposit:

  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the appointment: the deposit is refunded to the Client automatically.
  • Cancellations made 24 hours or less before the appointment: the deposit is forfeited and retained by the Studio.
  • If the appointment occurs, the deposit is applied toward the total service price.

Studios set their own service prices and deposit amounts. Any disputes about service quality or in-person interactions must be resolved between the Client and the Studio directly.

5. Studio Responsibilities

Studios are responsible for:

  • Providing services accurately as described on their StudioDeck booking page.
  • Setting their own hours, prices, and cancellation policies within the tools StudioDeck provides.
  • Complying with applicable laws in their jurisdiction (licensing, taxes, health and safety).
  • The professional conduct of their staff and the quality of services provided.
  • Maintaining an active, working Square account to accept payments.

StudioDeck is a platform, not a party to the service transaction between Studios and Clients.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems.
  • Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on someone's rights.
  • Interfere with the Service's operation (spam, denial-of-service, scraping).
  • Use the Service to impersonate anyone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Content You Provide

You retain ownership of the content you upload (business info, service descriptions, photos, reviews). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and use it as needed to operate the Service.

Reviews left by Clients are auto-published on the Studio's public booking page. Content that is abusive or violates these Terms may be removed at our discretion.

8. Third-Party Services

StudioDeck relies on third-party services to operate:

  • Square Inc. — payment processing
  • Supabase — data storage
  • Resend — email delivery
  • Vercel — hosting

Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of these providers where applicable. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by third parties.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. Studios can cancel their subscription from Settings. Clients can request account deletion by emailing support@studiodeck.shop.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We are not responsible for issues caused by third-party services, internet outages, or events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StudioDeck's total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) $100.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
